Its December 10th the Toronto Bike Show starts tomorrow, there is snow on the ground an entire riding season has come and gone. Did I have fun, yep, was the season long enough nope. The Superduke is running as well as it has ever run, I parked it finally last Sunday after a 3 hour ride on Saturday. I froze my bunns off, in fact even with lots of layers and good riding clothes, I was frozen and really I should not have ridden. Did I have a smile on my face yep, did I pay for it later with aches and pains in my kidneys yep. Such is cold weather riding.
So in the words of the Bard, "Now begins the winter of our discontent" Sorry changed that line a bit.
I have also been looking for a doable winter project to make the winter less onerous. Yes the Superduke needs a new chain, rear light and rear tyre but that will be the stuff that gets done with the spring tuneup.
I think I have found myself a real project, I will be picking up this saturday a non running BMW R75/6 its not been run in 5 years and its somewhat... well a lot scruffy it at the very minimum needs two new Bings. But the plan this winter is to get it running. Photo's to follow..........
